In 2002 he signed a free agent contract with the New England Patriots only to be cut seven days into camp. Grogan, who is charter member to the MHL since the 2004 season, is considered to be the best GM's in league history. Over this eleven year MHL career the Moose has racked up over eighty wins coupled by four Championship appearances which included a title in the 2006 season. Despite losing the championship game to Melvin Porter's Ballers, that 2004 Moose squad is still dubbed the best of all-time in the MHL.
